触摸历史的脉搏——军事与铁路博物馆之旅

5月2日，苏州外国语学校的学子们走进英国约克的军事博物馆与铁道博物馆，开启了一场跨越时空的历史探索。

在肃穆的英国皇家军械博物馆（Royal Armouries）门前，英国利兹市政府旅游局局长克莱尔·希普（Claire Heap）热情迎接研学团的师生们。作为"Visit Leeds"的负责人，她亲自向学生们讲述了这座世界级军械库的传奇历史——从亨利八世的私人武器收藏，到见证大英帝国数百年军事演变的国之瑰宝。馆内锈迹斑斑的武器、斑驳的军装将同学们带回战火纷飞的年代，无声诉说着战争的残酷与和平的珍贵。

当日下午，英国国家铁路博物馆迎来别具意义的时刻。英国约克市旅游局局长萨曼莎·亨特（Samantha Hunt）站在KF7蒸汽机车前，为学生们揭开工业革命的双面叙事：这台在中国使用过的火车头，曾穿越滇缅铁路的烽火岁月，在1951年作为中英友谊的见证重返英国。亨特女士特别强调："钢铁轨道不仅承载着运输功能，更串联起不同文明的对话。"这种跨越时空的共鸣，让苏外学子在惊叹工业文明辉煌成就的同时，民族自豪感油然而生。

在行走中邂逅历史——漫步千年约克城

午后，同学们漫步约克古城，触摸中世纪城墙的斑驳砖石，聆听运河奔腾的千年故事。电影《哈利·波特》中的对角巷在此照进现实，引得同学们流连忘返。短暂停留同学们用脚步丈量历史的厚度，用眼睛记录异国的风景。

以文化架起友谊之桥——市长晚宴展风采

当晚的The Grand,York灯火辉煌，约克市长玛格丽特·威尔斯议员（The Right Honourable Lord Mayor of York, Cllr Margaret Wells）偕伴侣（Lord Mayor's Consort）、约克司法都督菲奥娜·菲茨帕特里克（Sheriff of York, Fiona Fitzpatrick）与伴侣（Sheriff's Consort）盛装出席，与市长慈善基金会主席斯图尔特·贾曼（Stuart Jarman）、苏外教育集团杜洪宇总裁、苏州外国语学校总校长刘忠保先生共同见证这场文化盛宴。

苏外学子身着礼服，以三重文化密码惊艳全场：餐前昆曲《牡丹亭》的水磨腔婉转绕梁，席间同学们用英语讲述的拙政园故事穿越时空，尾声一支中国舞蹈尽显江南柔情。交谈时，东方礼仪与英伦风度相映成趣。特别值得一提的是，英国约克城市大使、约克城市管理局董事、中国江苏省友好使者庄伟博士全程参与，他在致辞中感慨："这些年轻的文化使者，正在用当代语言诠释文明互鉴的真谛。"

研学路远，步履不停

从军事博物馆的沉思到铁路博物馆的共鸣，从古城墙下的遐想到市长晚宴的星光，苏外学子在这一天收获了知识、视野与成长。当克莱尔·希普局长与萨曼莎·亨特女士亲手为学生佩戴上"城市探索者"徽章时，这场跨越时空的对话已然播撒下新的种子——文明的相遇，永远在路上。

学生感想

It was May 2nd yesterday. We went to York to have dinner with the mayor. The hotel where we had dinner was beautiful.It’s view was great too.

  The dinner started at six. We met the mayor. She was very friendly and polite. The mayor made a speech to us. Then we had the dinner.

  We also enjoyed some shows, such as dances, music shows, qun opera and so on, we even exchanged some gifts.

  After dinner, we said goodbye to the mayor and leave.We had a good time there.

Yesterday I went to the British Ordnance Museum.It is located in London,Lizzy and Fort Nelson.And Lizzy is the main Museum.It concentrates on collecting weapons and helmets.In the museum,I saw many interesting ancient weapons.There were also many soldiers riding horses.It made me feel the breath of the history.Before lunch,we went to Diagon Valley.The guide told us that the movie Harry Potter shoot here.The valley was beautiful and full of interesting shops.In general,I had a brilliant day and I harvested a lot of knowledge.

昨晚我参加约克市长晚宴，深感荣幸。活动安排精心，既有中英礼物交换的友好互动，又有中国学生精彩的歌舞表演，展现了多元文化的魅力。市长的发言热情洋溢，为我们详细地介绍了约克的历史，强调了两国友谊与合作的重要性，令人倍感亲切；校长的致辞则体现了学校对国际交流的重视，以及对学生的关怀与期望。  同时，学生代表们也向英方老师介绍了苏州的拙政园，作为苏州文化的代表。

整场晚宴氛围融洽，既彰显了约克市的开放包容，也让我体会到学校搭建跨文化桥梁的深远意义。从拙政园到霍华德城堡，双方都获得了更多的知识。我们感谢市长和校方的诚挚款待，并期待未来能有更多这样的交流机会，促进中英文化更深层次的对话！

踏入英国约克火车博物馆，就像开启了一场穿越铁路历史长河的奇妙旅行。这里陈列着从古老蒸汽机车到现代高速列车的各式火车，每一辆都承载着独特故事。这次参观，不仅让我了解火车发展历程，更感受到科技创新对人类社会的深远影响。从蒸汽时代到电气时代，火车速度与舒适度不断提升，拉近了人与人的距离。博物馆里的每段历史都激励着我在生活中保持探索精神，勇于追求梦想 。

Stepping into the York Railway Museum in the UK is like embarking on a wonderful journey through the long river of railway history. Here, all kinds of trains are on display. This visit not only enabled me to understand the development process of trains but also made me feel the profound impact of technological innovation on human society. In the evening, we were honored to have dinner with the mayor of York. The dishes were exquisite and delicious, and the words of the leaders and teachers left a deep impression on me.

Today, my classmates and I had the great honor of having dinner with the Mayor of York. It was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever.

Before the dinner began, our teachers shared some important dining etiquette with us. They emphasized that we should hold the fork in our left hand and the knife in our right hand. As I looked around at the elegant setting, I couldn't help but feel that the dinner was a very formal occasion, and it was crucial for all of us to behave politely and show respect.

During the dinner, our headmaster and the Mayor of York delivered inspiring speeches. These speeches weren't just words; they symbolized the profound friendship between Suzhou and York. It made me realize that this dinner was much more than just a meal—it was a bridge connecting two wonderful cities, helping us understand each other better.

To further enhance the atmosphere, some of my classmates also prepared performances. Through our Kun Opera and dances, we hoped to showcase the unique charm and culture of Suzhou. The warm applause and smiles from the Mayor and everyone else made us feel truly welcomed.

Finally, when it was time to enjoy the delicious food, every dish was a delight. The combination of the great company, meaningful exchanges, and mouthwatering cuisine made the evening perfect. We all left with hearts full of joy and a deeper appreciation for the friendship between our two cities.

I'm extremely grateful for this opportunity. It has not only broadened my horizons but also taught me the importance of cultural exchange and international friendship. I sincerely hope that the bond between Suzhou and York will continue to grow stronger in the future.
